ÓûÂþɬ Council can now offer a new way for you to check which of the four mobile network providers can provide your home with the best mobile signal.
In collaboration with Scottish Futures Trust and Streetwave, we have used special Streetwave boxes, placed in some of our bin lorries to collect data on mobile signal quality across ÓûÂþɬ. As the lorries travel their routes, the boxes record data on the mobile signal strength of all four Mobile Network Operators (EE, Vodafone, Virgin Media O2, Three). This allowed us to gather real world data on what the mobile signal is like in most residential areas and roads across ÓûÂþɬ.
You can now use the to see which of the four mobile network providers will provide your home with the best mobile signal. If your address does not pop up with any results when typed into the search bar, you can use the map view to find where you live and see what data has been collected.
Some areas are yet to be covered but soon will be over the coming months.
