ESOL provision is delivered by the council’s ESOL tutors within the Resettlement Team and when possible, linking into local college provision. Depending on location there may be face to face classes or classes are taught online.
Our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) courses are interlinked with our Employability programmes. Supporting refugees into a pathway of meaningful and sustainable employment is a key objective.
We have a team of professionally qualified tutors. We work with the University of the Highlands and Islands to access ESOL SQA National 2, 3, 4 and 5 certification.
We also offer online classes specifically catered for those wanting to learn to drive and pass their theory and practical tests.
We will consider your work and family life circumstances and level of literacies in your first language to place you in the correct class.
Please get in touch with your support worker or contact us to find out more about available classes and to sign up.
