All council off-street pay and display parking will be free across ɬ in the run up to Christmas, from 11 to 24 December inclusive.
The move is part of ongoing measures from ɬ Council to support local businesses, communities and the economy.
Councillor John Armour, Policy Lead for Roads, Transport and Amenity Services, said:
“Our local shops have lots to offer – whether it's gifts for the family or fantastic festive food. Local independent businesses play a key role in providing employment and supporting the local economy. We hope residents will continue to show their support and shop locally.
“We also recognise it can be a tough financial time for many, so we’re happy to make it as easy as possible for people to take advantage of everything that’s on offer in our towns. Providing free, off-street parking is something we can do to help at a busy and expensive time of year.”
