Take part in the ɬ housing survey

The council is urging residents of ɬ to participate in a survey as part of a wider study to help understand the area’s housing needs and neighbourhoods.

Conducted by Research Resource on behalf of the council, the results of the Housing Need and Demand Assessment will influence future decisions the council makes on housing investment and ɬ covering communities in ɬ.

To make sure that the results of the study are accurate, Research Resource needs as many households as possible to participate. The researchers will contact random households directly across the area during June, July and August this year. Interviews will be undertaken by telephone on the islands and in more remote areas, and face-to-face on the mainland.

If you would like to participate and would like to arrange an interview at a convenient time, please call Research Resource on 0141 641 6410 during office hours.  Alternatively, you can register your interest on their .

The council’s Policy Lead for Economic Development, Islands, Rural Communities and Housing, Councillor Jim Lynch, said: “We’re experiencing a housing emergency in ɬ, so it’s vital that we know what the housing requirements are in our communities and the types of housing people need. This information will help us to plan ahead and prioritise investment in these specific areas. To enable us to achieve this though we need people to provide us with feedback so I would urge people to take part.”

All the information collected in the survey will remain strictly confidential under the terms of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and will be used for research and statistical purposes only.

If you would like to discuss the study or require further information please contact the council’s Local Housing Strategy Team by emailing localhousingstrategy@argyll-bute.gov.uk or by calling 01369 708 672.
